Payment Policy

Paying at Sofaine is simple and secure: the price you see is the price you pay, your card details never touch our servers, and refunds always go back the way they came. The details, in full:

1. Accepted payment methods

We accept the following at checkout:

• Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro
• Express wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay

We do not accept cash on delivery, personal cheques, money orders, or bank wire transfers.

2. Currency and pricing

All prices are shown in US dollars (USD). Shipping on US orders is free, so the checkout total is the item price plus any applicable sales tax, nothing else. There are no hidden fees, no handling charges, and no surprises after checkout.

3. Sales tax

Where required under US Economic Nexus rules, applicable state and local sales tax is calculated automatically and shown at checkout before you confirm your order, and remitted to the relevant state authorities. Whether tax applies depends on your delivery state.

4. Payment security

All transactions are processed by PCI-DSS-compliant payment providers (Shopify Payments and the wallet providers above) over encrypted TLS connections. Your full card number is transmitted directly to the payment processor: we never see it and never store it on our systems. For how payment data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

5. Fraud prevention

To protect our customers and our store, orders are automatically screened for potential fraud. If an order is flagged, we may contact you to verify billing details before processing; orders that cannot be verified may be cancelled and refunded in full.

6. When your card is charged

Your payment method is charged when you place your order. If we cancel an order for any reason (stock error, verification failure), the full amount is refunded to your original payment method without delay.

7. Refunds

Refunds are always issued to the original payment method, within 5–7 business days after an approved return passes inspection, as set out in our Refund Policy. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the credit may take a few additional days to appear.
